note - While making plans for this project, I found Stefan G. Bucher's "Daily Monster" blog. He beat me to the punch a bit, because I wanted to wait till January 1st to start mine. I almost dropped the project to keep from covering the same ground, but decided to go on with it because our approaches are so different. My wife and I had also put in a good ammount of work already, coming up with names and sketches, and I didn't want it all to go to waste.
